I began my career in 1998 as a tour executive in Kathmandu — designing itineraries, negotiating with hotels, airlines, guides and suppliers, welcoming clients at the airport, hosting briefings and farewell dinners, and building the kind of on-the-ground knowledge that only comes from doing the work. Over 28 years I have designed programs for some of the world's leading travel brands — SITA World Tours, TUI, Kuoni, SAGA Holidays, and more — and run MICE programs for corporations including General Motors and Harel Insurance. Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, and India are not destinations I sell — they are a world I have spent nearly three decades curating.

I also founded two Nepal-based travel businesses — E-tour Channel (2008) and Nepal Adventure Trail (2022) — with professional guide teams operating on the ground today. In parallel, I spent 15 years in enterprise IT consulting, delivering technology solutions for Expedia, United Airlines, Travelport, Hilton, and American Express Global Business Travel. I saw firsthand how luxury travel was held back by outdated systems: travellers waiting days for quotes, agents manually searching fragmented supplier inventories, pricing that couldn't adapt to real-time demand.

CuratedAscents exists because I refused to accept that trade-off. I built an AI-powered Expedition Architect that searches across 10 service types and builds personalised quotes in minutes, not days. But behind every algorithm is 28 years of knowing which suppliers deliver on their promises, which lodges pair world-class views with genuine warmth, and which cultural encounters leave a lasting impression.
